Autumn in the Valley is Oct. 20
Plans are underway for the Marquette Chamber of Commerce’s 6th annual Autumn in the Valley festival, Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Marquette.
If you are interested in a booth space for the annual event, call Jenny Piper at 785-546-2292 or 546-2390. Cost is $10 for each space.
New to this year’s festival is a Split the Pot drawing. Tickets are available from chamber members and at the Marquette Farmers State Bank for $1.00 each. The drawing will be split between the lucky winner and the chamber. The winner will be drawn and announced at the Autumn in the Valley festival at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 20. You don’t have to be present to win.
Committee officials have announced some of the events that will be taking place at the 6th annual festival. They are: Chili Cook-off, Wheelbarrow Races, Pumpkin Baking Contest, Pumpkin Decorating Contest, Games for Kids (train rides & more), Moonwalk, Chicken Bingo, Live Entertainment, Raffles/Split the Pot, and Clogging. At 2 p.m. the Marquette Fine Arts Center will host a Talent Show.
